About Bob

In Soft Underbelly you will read about my second husband Bob.  Sadly Bob is no longer alive and I won’t spoil the story by telling you any of the details here.  I will tell you however that I loved Bob with all my heart and I still do.  He was not a physically violent man and it is important to me and his memory that I make that perfectly clear.

Bob unfortunately was an alcoholic, something I believe he inherited from his father.  Alcoholism can be passed along through generations by way of a biologic pathway called genetic predisposition.  However the good news is that nearly one half of the children of alcoholics do not themselves become alcoholics.
